Bend Company Represents During Annual Celebration of Craft Beer
May 21, 2015 – Bend, Oregon – DrinkTanks, a Bend, Oregon-based drinkware company, has been named the Official Beer Growler of Central Oregon Beer Week, taking place May 22 – May 31, 2015. The company, on the heels of their second successful Kickstarter campaign which raised over $300,000 for their latest venture, The Juggernaut and Kegulator, is an Imperial Sponsor for the 10-day celebration. Organizers of Central Oregon Beer Week will be giving away DrinkTanks beer growlers as contest prizes, and locals will also have a chance to cash in on the fun, receiving 20% off all products at www.DrinkTanks.com for the week, using promo code: cobw20.
“We are honored to have been named the Official Growler for such an amazing event that we, ourselves, have attended over the years,” said Nicholas Hill, founder of DrinkTanks. “We love doing business in Central Oregon, and what better way to celebrate that then by representing one of the largest craft brewing festivals in the region.”
With ten days to celebrate the craft beer industry, this year’s Central Oregon Beer Week is a great chance to taste beers, ciders, food, and listen to live music. Participants are given the chance to taste and vote on specially crafted single malt and single hop (SMaSH) beers from Oregon breweries at the 2nd Annual SMaSH Fest. There are several events taking place over the course of the week around Central Oregon, including locations such as Deschutes Brewery, Broken Top Bottle Shop, Wild Ride Brewing, Sunriver Brewing, and more. Once again this year, the public is invited to participate in the Epic Brewery Challenge with a grand prize including a DrinkTanks 64 oz. Growler and one night stay at the Sunriver Resort.

Based in the craft beer and outdoor recreation mecca of Bend, Oregon, DrinkTanks was born as a father-and-son team. In 2010, Dr. Tim Hill, co-founder of the Cascade Culinary Institute, and his son, Nicholas Hill, combined their collective food and beverage knowledge and love of the outdoors to create the perfect, portable, growler and personal keg. DrinkTanks will soon offer the full family of stainless steel double walled, vacuum insulated growlers: the 32 oz, the 64 oz and the highly anticipated 128 oz Juggernaut. DrinkTanks Growlers are comprised of 22 custom parts, and built by hand, one at a time in Bend, Oregon. The rest of DrinkTanks’ history is yet to be tapped.
